Guys i have issues with animation since 4.3 and i've got no clue why.
I just made a pole and a small flag on it, and deformed it with a sin deformer for 12 frames.
Everything works fine in Maya but the animation never translates into Unity.
Unity shows that it has a 12frame clip but it's empty, it won't animate the flag.

I tried baking the animation in maya in the FBX exporter, i tried baking the animation in Edit->Keys, i even desperately tried to animated each vertex of the flag. Even tried to open the .ma file in Unity.

    Nothing works.
    Any ideas? Please?

Maya Deformers are like blendshapes, not simple keyframed animations.
To import vertex animations without bones you’ll have to use blendshapes.

    Thanks for the input.
You mean make the animation in Maya using blend shapes, or click on "blendshapes" in the model importer?

Edit: Thank you so much. Works like a charm now.
