Animating a 2d object on the scene or on the canvas!

    Hi,

    I have 10 sets of 2d animation character to be played , i want to know is there any potentail difference of playing the 2d animation on the scene vs playing animation on to the canvas.
    Apart from want I knew , in canvas the various screen resoultion is supported,so that my object won't be cliped off if it is drawn at the edges of the screen[by using anchors offcourse].is there any similiar thing available for camera space/drawing in the scene.
    Note:
    All my 2d characters are static at once place.
