Animated materials playing in scene veiw but not in game veiw

I have some animated textures hooked up to a particle system that work great in the scene veiw. However when I look at them through the "game" view , all of the material animation disappears : <

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Game view doesn't animate materials unless it's in play mode. The scene view updates the _Time values for materials in real time where as the game view uses game time.
