animated fps weapons

    haha tnx man! im not sure what ill be doing next ;)
    how should i script it? throwing it or a placing animation?

    placing imho

    and

    different types of arms/hands would be geat so we can choose what we need..
    maybe a simple arm/hand version with skin "a la ufps" a

    Would you be able to include a female bare (no clothes) arm as one of the new arm options? Thank you in advance.

    that wont be possible, im including new armskins wich are basicly improved texturesets(materials) for the existing armmesh. im not adding new arm meshes, this would mean i have to reanimate every weapon(now a total of 33)

    please..please add a simple skin version of the arms without any clothes etc...

    and what about price drop??

    bare skin arm is also not possible :
    example.jpg
    changed my mind ,im not going to make a price drop,
    the price is fair considering the amount of content u get.
    the price will go up to 140 once version 3 is complete.(3 new weapons, complete rework of all weapons textures, 2 characters that match the new armskins, etc...)
    so if u want it , i would advise to buy before the update.

    just to be clear to anyone who buys the models, the arms are not interchangeable with other arms and u cant use the animations with your own weapons(unless u know to animate and rig offcourse).
    ill make this clear in the description when i update the pack to prevent any future misunderstandings.

    Thanks MisterD for responding. I understand. Maybe in a future different asset pack you can have more options for bare hands, male and female. You do very nice work.

    I read that you are updating weapon textures. Would it be possible to include the original 4k textures (4096x4096) and let purchasers downgrade them to 2048 manually if they want. Many of us are developing for PC and higher resolution textures are far more preferable. Thanks.

    im making a gore system. shooting the large parts of works good using a blendshape system, but i cant figure out how to do the small bullet holes on a skinned mesh.
    what is the best( or easiest way) to do that?

    It's very difficult to add a decal on a skinned mesh.
    You have to project a plane on the skinned mesh, adjust each vertex and triangle to fit the skinned mesh.
    I stopped to work on this.

    With blood particles + remove the head or remove arm/leg it's better for my point of view.

    i was thinking to use a shader for the wounds instead of applying a decal mesh to a skinned mesh. but yes, its to difficult for my abillities.
    ive still got lots of texture work left, so i wont set a release date.

    Are you trying to add this to the FPS Weapons pack? If so, I personally purchased the FPS Weapons pack for all the weapons, meshes, animations, sounds, and related (such as projectiles). So, it sounds like this would be better for an additional package instead of adding to this package. Just my opinion.

    no ill release it seperate, just wanted to do something different than weapon modelling ;)

    Why not create 20 differents characters with for each the possibility to remove the head, each arm, each leg?And to finish explode the character in 10 parts

    You don't need to create 20 new characters, but modify a little your existing character( add hat, hair) and change the skin texture or dress.

    For VirusInfection3 , I have not enough download, so I stopped to work on it for the moment.I have to add a multi-player cooperation to improve the game I think.

    finished the 2 characters and armskins, each model has 2 variations so also 4 new armskins.
    im becoming concerned about the package size since everything is now 4k , im allready at a gigabyte and still need to retexture 8 weapons.

    Maybe you can cut the textures down to 1k with the 4k zipped. That might help... I've seen other people have high res textures, but they set the import to something very low, then all you had to do was change the import settings for the texture to something high like 4k, and it would reimport at the high-res level. *shrugs*

    i dont think import settings will fix the size of the pack , i allready set them to 2k.
    to me its not really a problem but i was thinking some people would have download issues when the package is so large.

    its only a scene with posed characters , no AI.
    I cannot code good enough to write AI for the characters.

    tnx, its only a screencapture from within unity, nothing special.
    i dont know when its ready exactly but definitely this month.
    im reworking some animations too and want to work on some scripts like the "weaponselector" cause im not happy with them.

    Those guns looks awesome. ¿What animations are you reworking?

    The only animation i don't like much is the grenade launching animation. The arm doesn't match with the grenade launching direction.

    i allready fixed the grenade animation ;) and added more weight to some reloading animations.

    I messed around with this skinned mesh ray cast asset a while ago to get bullet marks on skinned meshes. I think it worked. I can install it and see if it still works.

    tnx , i hope everyone likes the update,

    i want to advise everyone to make a backup of the old version before upgrading as lots of changes have been made.

    version 3.0 has:
    -4k textures
    -3new weapons
    -rework of some animations
    -new demo level
    -2 new characters with 2 material variations
    -so 4 new matching armskins

    the overlord was on hold but il be continuing the work on it this month.

    oh i forgot;
    the new version is 1.5 gig large due to the large textures so i hope noone has download issues

    great.. one question ..in the old demos there ware animated enemies ..are those stuffs even in the new demo scene since i didnt see them in the video .and if i purchase the pack can i have the old scenes too??

    ive removed the enemys from the demoscene and also the player body as i was loosing to much time to script them.
    but the assets are still in the project files so u can add them by yourselves if u want them.

    I love your assets from the first time. I love all but this packed now the best of the asset store. You arr the best!!!!
