Want to help guarantee a sale -- ensure that the outfit/gear is something that can be pulled off/changed etc -- adds flexibility that for me as a developer looking at external assets pretty much makes that asset a must have. W/O Customization, externally desined assets are a lot less usable. Good luck w/this one !~

Off course weapons will be changeable. Armor - not.

Not every people want to have model which have 5-10 armors attached\skinned together with main body. It increase poly count and draw calls significantly because most of armors need to be skinned and not attached to the skeleton. I have experience of creating such models.

Of course there are maybe some people which looks especially for such thing. These models more difficult to create and will cost more. I am not sure if complex multi gearing models will be purchased enough times. I think, such models better to make by custom order . In that case they will fit exactly what customer needs.
