Question Animate thousand spectators...?

    HI
    I am working on a stadium (at least some kind of, bit complicated), and I am strugling with spectators.
    Need to put 12 000 in the same scene!
    Is it possible to animate such an insame number? Tricks? If possible not with the sprite trick.
    The perfs will decrease very much? (Regarding the fact that it may go on a phone.)
