Android shadows degraded after upgrading from Unity 5.5 to 2017

    Hello,

after upgrading from Unity 5.5.5 to 2017.2/3 I've noticed a significant degradation of realtime shadow quality on Android. The settings are the same (highest quality, hard shadows, shadow distance/offset short enough to cover most of the screen). This is consistent on multiple devices (e.g. Kindle Fire, Xiaomi Note 4).

Anybody experiencing similar issues? Any tips how to fix this?

Mhm. Does look weird. Could you make a small repro project and submit a bug with it? Most likely some project/lighting/shadow settings, so the exact models are not needed, just whatever reproduced the issue. : )
Post the Case # (Just the number, not the full link please) here, and I will have a look.
Also, did you get a chance to test any other devices?

Same here. Horrible shadow quality not only on Android, iOS too.

Hello, the case # is 971975. Please let me know if there's anything else I can provide to help you. I've tested it only on the devices mentioned, but the GPUs should be common enough
