Seriously people, this was my first game on Android and I cant draw good.

 

At the very least you've successfully published something. We haven't seen much in the way of results from reentrant aside from a locked thread. Ironically about prejudice towards Unity games.

 

If graphical quality were the only measure for a game, Dwarf Fortress would have disappeared long ago. It is purely donation supported, but has drawn in donations that are higher than most hobbyist developers are likely to make. Most months it brings in an average of $5,000, with July hitting a very high $15,000.

Clearly graphical quality is not as important to everyone as you seem inclined to believe. Have you tried his game to verify the quality? Despite the screenshots, he has a 4.4 review score from eight reviews.

If you want to be disappointed in someone, be disappointed in yourself for "judging a book by its cover".

 

Be calm. It's not serious, only playful teasing. Honestly, it's a wonderful game, better than Asphalt 8. Google Play needs more games like Death Race. Cheers

 

The main concern is that its the end of Google Play. I don't think so. The only issue is...quality control and low barrier of entry ($25 per account).

This game was just a test. At least I didn't charge people like Air Control did on Steam.

 

It's okay, relax. Death Race has an average rating even higher than Real Racing. Good job!

And then I was asking myself, how did you find my game which was buried deep among other Android games....

 

Writing opinion/review about the game is one thing. Using a game as an example of a failure of Android market is just different, especially if its developer checks forums daily.

 

You already said it was a test. I said it's a wonderful game. I thought we already settled this.

 

What gave you the mistaken impression that someone has the right to denigrate and insult someone else?

 

I understand that poster was making fun of shovelware not me, but this is my game and OP didn't bother asking permission to use it as an example.

This game was published last year. I was learning a lot about Unity and was interested deploying a game for Android as practice. Adding ads, swipe functions, infinite runner - everything was new to me!

I didn't concentrate on graphics, only on game's functions and thus barely bothered taking art from the internet.

I didn't even make this game for commercial purposes and thus you cannot call my game shovelware.

In video game terms, shovelware can also mean poor quality, often licensed titles that are released en masse by a certain publisher or studio in order to profit from unwary buyers like children and the elderly.

It has nothing to do with generational differences. It is simply fact that you do not have the right to defame others. Freedom of speech is not limitless.

This isn't a new problem here. It's why the collab section can't have replies. There's absolutely no need to insult people on these forums, and yet people gang up on wide-eyed newbies who are just trying to get started. They insult them into quitting and think they've done something good.
