    Hi guys,

Fiouu we just finished our game Antyz after almost 3 years. I am Nicolas, a developer from a studio called DNA Studios based in Switzerland. We were two developers and two artists for developing this mobile game.

The game will be released on Android and iOS on November 18th.

The game Antyz is an adventure puzzle game. You control a scout ant that have to dig to the center of the earth to escape an ice age. Her job is to solve enigmas and avoid obstacles for opening the path to save her people.

You can visit the website to get more information : http://antyzthegame.com

Here is our brand new teaser (Trailer coming soon :D) :

We have two different worlds in the game with different graphic styles and atmospheres. The first screenshot on the left is from the world 1 where it's the first "layer" of the planet. It's really colder than in the second screenshot. The world 2 is an other layer of earth, warmer with steampunk references (screenshot on the right).

The ant can also equip items (skins) that can improve some specifications. For designing it, we decided to take references from ants. We learnt a lot about it and it's really fascinating how many different species there is on the planet with unique looks and types.

Here are few screenshots from the skins and references from real ants:

Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed :) Feel free if you have any questions.

    Hey guys,

We approach the date of the release :)

Since that, I would like to introduce you our workflow of making levels.

Actually the game has 100 levels + 9 bonus levels. Each level was designed and conceived "manually". There is no random generation (Yeah huuuge job :D ). We tried to make different styles of levels. There are levels based on reflexion and others more arcarde and speedy.
We also spent a lot of time to adjust the levels before considering that the levels are enjoyable and the progression of the difficulty was good.

Here are pictures of the "behind the scene" of the level conception with mockups and screenshots in-game :)

Here is the wall of our studio with all the mockups.

I hope you enjoy. If you have any question let me know.

    Cheers

    Hey nukeD,

Nice :) Yes it's a free-to-play game with iap inside. They players have a virtual currency that they can use to buy skins or a premium pack that gives additional levels and remove ads.

But we also are gamers and would like to keep the game play intact. We really don't want to go in a "pay-to-win" strategy but it could be very nice if have the possibility to invest a benefit in an other video game project :)

Let me know if you have any question, thanks you !

Congrats on your launch! The game is really fun and challenging. :)

I have 2 (very minor) suggestions. The first, which maybe I just missed something, is that it wasn't obvious at first that I could actually swipe through the snow to clear it. Second, maybe place the "turn-right" button on the right side of the screen and have the stop button in the middle?

I think you guys did a great job and best of luck!

    Edit:
I feel like the larvae shouldn't get stuck w/ this mechanic:
