Hi everyone, I just released my first Android app and I'm trying to get some exposure and opinions about it.

I realize there are plenty of 2048/1024 clones out there already and they all look and behave pretty much the same as the original. With Cube Conquest 3D I really tried to bring something new to the table with beautiful 3D graphics, new game modes, and many little features that I feel make it one of the best "numbers puzzle" (I think that's the name of the niche, not sure though) experiences out there.

Whether or not you've already played this style of game I would very much appreciate you giving my game a try.

Any and all comments and/or questions are welcomed! Thanks!

Well, someone made a Let's Play style video of the web-player version of my game:

However, the maker had never played 2048 or Threes and did the review as if it was an original concept. The YouTube commenters flipped out and start calling me "scum" and what not.
In my defense the first two sentences of my game description are : "The first fully 3D version of the popular 2048 style puzzle! Cube Conquest 3D is a fresh take on the game that everybody’s been talking about." and I gave credit to the developers of Threes, 1024, and 2048 in the Credits section of my game. I've since added links to those three games in my game's description and looking back I definitely should have done this from the first to avoid any confusion. Can't help but feel like I've done something wrong though, I thought I had covered my bases but I guess not enough.

Oh well, had fun and learned a lot making the game at least.

The review wasn't that bad, although not mentioning the others in the review makes it seem odd.

The games looks like a nice implementation of it.

I know, the review was awesome, but it was apparently done under the pretense that the game concept was original, which is what the YouTube commenters are flipping out about and acting like I intentionally portrayed it that way.

Thats what I meant by it wasn't that bad. It didn't look like a complete setup to me.

The video isn't you right? it is someway else, they portrayed it that way. It makes them look like they were being paid for it, but that isn't your problem, that is their problem.

You're right, it is his problem. But reading the comments saying how I'm scum and all the other stuff is definitely a new experience for me. I guess it's something I need to learn to deal with if I want to develop games.

If you develop a clone, especially one which is purely a graphical upgrade with no new gameplay elements you need to expect it.

Personally I don't mind clones, I think they are good for learning and often can lead to better gameplay elements. I am not so keen on pure reskins but it is your right :).

I doubt you will get much love here for it but your downloads are what really counts.
