Here is the Gladius Sword Model, all shadows were hand painted into the diffuse texture to make it look better in low-light situations.

    74 Polys
    512x512 Diffuse Texture

Very good for big battle scenes and 3rd person games.
You could have 13 of these swords on screen at once and never go above 1000 polys.

Low poly version completed! It is an image so it will go from 74 polys to 2, and looks exactly the same from far away. This is good for strategy games as well.

Tell me what you think, and if you would buy a pack of these Greece/Rome themed items.

Really? I personally liked the wall more than the sword.

How does this sword texture look? Does it look better? Worse? Or good as a variation?

Both the wall texture and the sword look very nice. :)

And I too know how nerve racking it can be to make a human character, i myself have been working on one for the last 3 years (going slowly), i'm just about done, i'm just about ready to unwrap it and texture it (I think i'll use the mudbox 30 day trial for that), i'll probably try making a low poly version if this high poly one can't be used in unity (I'll try though :p)
