Couldn't agree more. Big up to Sebastian for posting that letter. Here's my additions, as a long-term Tango & Daydream dev.

This isn't the first time Google disappoints its XR developers. The things that Sebastian mentions happened before, with Tango. There is a pattern here:

    1) Google notoriously doesnt participate (or only sporadically) in forum discussions with devs. E.g., there is still no easy way to get in touch with Daydream devs from Google. They show up sporadically here, or not. It was the same with Tango, where the Google Plus forums were full of questioned that were left unanswered.

    2) Google doesn't communicate even the most basic aspects of its strategy to devs. Why was Daydream only available in 6-7 countries for almost a year? Why is the new Daydream headset still not launching globally? Why have no third-party headsets been launched?

    3) It looks like the same is happening with ARcore. Unlike Apple, who had a clear target for ARkit from the beginning, there is still no ETA for ARcore, the ARcore SDK on Github hasn't been updated since the initial code-drop, and there is no communication channel besides the Unity forum.
