AMD Reveals their new Graphics card, out June 29th and cost 199USD

    Well technically even AMD have admitted that it's about half the speed of a 1080, which we do have benchmarks for.



    Actually if you look at this another way, would it be cheaper in the long run to go with a single 1080?

    The 1080 TDP is 180 watts vs the 480's 150 watts, so using two you're using half as much energy again, how long before you have paid the difference in your electric bill?

    AMD Keynote interesting talk about the cost of entry for VR gamers.



    Check out 19 mins in where the 1080 is compared to 2x 480's. But apparently the 480's are only using 52% of their combined power so if that maps to actual energy usage they could be using less than the 1080.
