Feature Request AMD FidelityFX +2.0

    Hello guys, are you planning to implement FSR +2, currently you have 1.0, but looks that 2.0 bring better performance.

    And support Mobile platforms because rendering in 720 or 540 and upscale to 1080 is big win win

    It is only for oudated BiRP so it is not a solution and it dont support all platforms.

    but thanks good to know we have at leas something

    I use BiRP for all projects because URP is so slow and memory heavy that i just don't get why people use it.
    If you don't mind paying, you have a FSR 2 solution already for URP on the asset store for $29 that works. I doubt Unity will ever include it as a standard because it's easier to collect the $ from the assets FSR 2 - Upscaling for Unity | Utilities Tools | Unity Asset Store

    We already have FSR 1.0 built in so why not to have up to date version?

    AssetStore full of plugins for everything but unity still create standard builtin versions of systems like:
    NGUI->UGui, Bolt, PostProcessing, Lightmapping etc

    You must have an unusual use case because barring you doing it wrong my experiences and the experiences of just about everyone else on these forums are the opposite. Also if you want to take full advantage of DOTS you can't do it with BiRP as it's incompatible with Entities Graphics.

    I agree with JesOb, if you launched FSR 1.0 in the engine, why not throw 2.0?.

    I'm not against selling the plugin via a third party, but if the goal of Unity leaves third-party developers to integrate it into the engine, why then release 1.0.

    In Unreal FSR launched almost at the same time as AMD updated it.

    Not sure what the technical problem or issue with HDRP or URP is, that looks like integration with Unity perhaps is more challenging.

    We are currently working on an upscaling framework to allow us to integrate all the different upscalers in a more sustainable way. So there is no news yet on when FSR 2 support will be available but it's a goal of the team to enable this sometime in the 2024 timeframe.
