Let me start off by saying I in NO way had anything to do with this project. I just played it, instantly became a fan, and felt the need to showcase it.

Pelikan 13 have created an amazing remake of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 using Unity. It plays exactly like the original with many stunningly beautiful graphical enhancements. Something sure to check out.

    Better than Sonic 4!
SEGA should pay these people to continue the Sonic franchise.

Yeah this is a really awesome wip, It will be really nice once its a bit more complete since it is pretty easy right now (enemies don't shoot and no boss etc.), but still it is vary impressive so far. The devs should get on indie db, I didn't see anything on there about it. One thing I don't get is how unity is able to handle the blast processing?

Blast processing was just a marketing term, there wasn't anything special being done that can't be done easily in most modern game engines.

Thanks for clearing that up Beezir...I was under the impression that only my 20 year old Sega Genesis was advanced enough to handle such a thing.

No problem, and quite understandable. After all, most modern rendering farms use bundles of old Segas to maximize performance.
