I'm new to animating and am trying to add a bit of flair to certain parts of my tileset. I've done it all on one page, but would still like to animate certain parts of it, would this cause any problems and is it possible? I'm using Aesprite for reference. If not, what would you suggest I do?

I'm not sure where you're having an issue.

Have you animated anything in Unity yet?

Have you animated replacing a Sprite in a SpriteRenderer?

Have you tried animating a Tile inside a TileMap?

It's all pretty simple stuff and there's simple tutorials and how-to videos by the millions out there.

I'm still quite new to it and animating in general, my 'issue' was more of a question regarding what can and cannot be done. Specifically whether or not I can put all my tiles on one page while animating parts of it and leaving other parts not animated. Thinking about it more, I think I just realized there may just be better ways to solve the issue than what I was thinking of at the time.

The answer to a "is it possible to?" is almost always YES.

Just try stuff. It takes so little time... just drop a texture in, make it a sprite, make a Tile out of it, drag it into a Tilemap in the scene, bring up the animation window and animate it. If it works it works, if it doesn't, well, then there's an investigation and possibly a post.

Already on it! I've been messing with it since you've replied, and I've gotta say I definitely have a better grip of it now than I did when I posted. Still quite confusing but I'll get a grip on it for sure.

"The answer to a "is it possible to?" is almost always YES."

This is exactly what I needed to hear, just knowing most things are plausible gives me a bit more confidence in myself and my thought processes. I will be trying MORE stuff after this I can assure you. I will also be sure to post less prematurely next time. Thanks for the replies! :)
