Alt-tabbing into Unity leaves the alt button down

I don't know if this is a window manager issue or a Unity issue,
but every time I alt-tab into Unity, the scene view acts as if I was
    holding the alt button down.
A single press of the alt button fixes the issue, but the next time I
alt-tab in, the problem comes back.

    Using Ubuntu 18.04 and Gnome.

Is anyone else seeing this? It's driving me crazy.

Yes I've had similar window/input/focus event related bugs since 2018 version but I'm now on 2019.2 and they seem to have been fixed which is great. They're small annoyances but they really drain productivity.
There's a new Hub focus bug now though so still not out of the woods yet.

I don't know if they roll all these fixes into older versions though as a focus issue fixed in 2019.2 wasn't rolled into 2019.1 (at least last I checked).
This doesn't help you if you're stuck with 2018 but I empathise. :)

I see there's a 2018.3.11f1 now, have you tried that?

Focusing bugs still seem to be present on 2019.1.4f1 as well. I am going to try one of the beta releases to see if that helps.

Yeah, I'm getting it too. If someone wants to open another bug that would be great.

Erm, are you not allowed to submit a bug on something you can reproduce yourself?

You would think so. I'm just working on something else atm. I will if no one else does.

This is still happening in latest version. Beyond that, it causes windows input to lag and or continuously send inputs.

@SnooksV3, can you share the Unity version you are using, along with your distro, including window manager (X11 or Wayland)?

We haven't run into this internally, but if you have a good repro of it you can log a bug using Help>Report a Bug.

I'm seeing this right now on Input System 1.1.0-preview.3, Unity 2019.4.13f1.

It happens in editor and in a standalone build. It clears up when I press the offending key (Control and others get lodged as well).

Application.runInBackground is false, per the preview.3 changelist that mentioned something about alt-tab stuck keys.

Edit: what is the best way I can force reset this myself on focus gain?
Edit 2: reverting to preview.2 fixes this completely.
Edit 3: sorry, came here from google and didn't notice it was a Linux thread, but the symptoms seem the same; mods, feel free to move my post to a better thread.

Did you get any further with this? I'm trying for two days now to resolve this myself and it's driving me insane.

Edit: This fixed it for me, i should have just googled some more...
