Right now the labels can only be created from the asset store website.

Please make it possible to assign labels inside the package manager window.
Under my assets dropdown there is filter / label

    Hi there,

The decision we have made so far is to separate the consumption & the purchase/management experience.

The consumption side: download, import, etc goes to the package manager.
Purchase, management goes to the Asset Store website.

I'll forward your feedback to the team nevertheless. Thanks so much for the time!

    Best,
    Ethan

This is not for consumption, but for organising the assets that I already bought.
In the package manager I have to manage a list of 1400 purchases. It not manageable without any tools for that inside unity. And by having to go to the website its another disruption in my workflow, on top of the waiting for downloading and importing of packages that are not async.
    Thanks for forwarding the request.

Please don't follow in the footstep of Microsoft. Create useful software, otherwise people will not use it. Senseable people that is. The entire purpose of the Package Manager is organization. There is no filtering system. You go to the store to buy new stuff not to organize then, however you organize the stuff you already own (downloaded) because it is helpful when it comes to utilization.

I guess when all fails there is always Notepad++. I am literally making a list of all items purchased for my next project so I can search and find in the Package Manager and import individually for testing. Luckily my list is only 21 items wide.
