Downloaded Unity for windows from unity.com/download on my Microsoft Surface 4 Laptop. The hub itself works, but that is about as far as it goes. If I open any* Unity version, I am greeted with errors on startup. If I try to remove a package, I get errors**. If I try to close the project (even before doing anything), the project crashes.

I installed Unity with the default setup on a brand new laptop. No paths were changed, and access was permitted to both public and private networks. Unity versions were installed without any additional modules.

The exception information from the "close Unity crash" was "The thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access". I have a vague understanding of what this means, but haven't managed to find a fix yet.

*Tested with 2022.2, 2022.1 and 2021 LTS. Older versions are irrelevant.
** Package removal errors only happens in 2022.2.

Solution was to move the project to a folder without special characters.
