Alamo Reality: Augmented and Historical Augmented Reality

Hey folks,

I just wanted to say we just shipped Experience Real History: Alamo Edition and it's available in the iOS App Store for iPhones and iPads. It has 32 AR Scenes and 117 separate tertiary content covering many hours of expert storytelling. It tracks your position when at San Antonio's Alamo and has multiple ARKit portals you can step through to go "back in time" to the Siege in 1836. Some have portal elevators where you ride above the Alamo and view the battle taking place below you. We also have quite the number of reality boards, cards and accessories that help adults and kids alike learn more about "Remember the Alamo."



We used the top historians and history architects Stephen Hardin and Gary Zaboly to make sure the models were the most current and up-to-date accurate depictions of the buildings and surroundings. We used custom shaders to be able to create mobile friendly and photoreal textures of the different limestone, wood, ground and adobe materials.
