NOTE: This is the first of a number of Tech Demo games we are working on. The first one is AG SSC Racer. We’re working on a small anti-gravity game built on top of Sci Fi Ship Controller (SSC). Its purpose is to demonstrate how games like those from the popular F-Zero or WipEout series, could be built with the asset. You could think of AG SSC Racer as a kind of tech demo. It provides: a bit of entertainment for you some light relief for our team (while testing of course...) us with opportunities to discover and solve real game dev problems with the ability to add new features and test them in a real game We’ve taken advantage of the following features in SSC: Ship Arcade physics model Limiting pitch and roll Stick to Ground Surface The Anti-gravity demo scene Ship AI with path following New Unity Input System integration Damage system with respawning The current Windows 10 version can be downloaded from our website (scroll all the way to the bottom). After downloading the file, unzip it to a folder. The first time you run it you may get a prompt to say it is unsafe. That is because it is an unsigned app. It should work with most gamepads on Windows 10. For keyboard use WSAD for direction, up-arrow for thrusters, and down-arrow for the air brakes. Pause / Restart / Quit = start/option button on gamepad, or mouse The Xbox One version is now available, just search "AG SSC Racer" in the Microsoft store.
