Its been a while since i posted about our game Aftermath (Original thread Here) - A post apocalyptic racer/shooter. The game has come a long way since the first release of it, gained a lot more features and improvements - and is now available to play on Shockwave! :)

We’re really pleased with how things have turned out, and i’d like to thank everyone on the forums for the feedback we got, as well as the few people who did some beta testing for us ;)

    You can play it here:

    First time playing, sweet!
Though the music is pretty monotonous.

Oh yeah, I can imagine! :p
And I do have a mute and volume control on the local machine too of course.
So, is this for your personal work or for someone else (client)?
If for your own (and you wanted to) you could create a more diverse soundtrack, but just me of course.

    Thanks Dantus :)

Well it originally wasnt created for anyone, but once we had decided to go with Shockwave there where a number of things we had to be aware of, most notably download size. Since there was already alot of texture assets for the levels and the custom skins for the cars, we had to make the choice of going with a very simplistic soundtrack.

Its not ideal, but long loading times would hurt the amount of plays it got - its ~30mb download at the minute and we still see some people complaining about load times! lol

Well it looks like it got a decent reception. 28k plays in a couple of days is not bad.

What was your experience like uploading to shockwave? Smooth? What's the process like?

    Thanks for reading this.

Well as of right now, its at number 3 with 103k plays, so we're pretty happy :)

Working with shockwave was a pretty easy process. After we initially submitted it to them they came back to us with a list of things that they thought would help the game, particularly usability and replayability features (More cars, things to unlock etc). Over the next 3 weeks or so we added the features, as well as being in touch with there QA department who helped us iron out any last minute bugs.

All in all it was a very good process

Hay cool a aftermath thread. 1st off I would like to say; love your game man bin playing it all day lol.
By far my favorite thing has to be the orbital satellite strike, when I 1st got it I must have spent like a half
hour just blowing my self up with it lol.

And now it's on shockwave to AWESOME!

Bit of a necro bump @ztennis, but thanks for the support :)

Currently, we don't have any plans to add more content to Aftermath, but if that changes I'll be sure to post back here and let you know.

    Thanks again!
