Afterglow 20.51 - Making an origami train

    Hello! We're a group of 6 people called Nugget Team and we're creating a first person narrative game on an origami world. We're using Unity and 3D Max only and although we only made this in a few months of development, the results are great.

    Very cool, are you applying any movement in the paper to make it feel like its not completely rigid?

    We get that modeling every "wrikle" to imitate a manipulated paper. Thanks for your comment!:)

    Hi guys! This time we wanted to show you how was the process of creating our characters. On the one hand are the concepts of Margaret, Nicholas, Lloyd and Lunchy and then you can see how the models with his materials look inside our build in Unity:

    No, they didn't. Afterglow 20.51 it's a first person narrative game, so there's no way to shots this time, sorry hahaha

    We have great news for Christmas! This is our last character, Alma, and we're very proud of how it looks. It's the only character that is not monochromatic in Afertglow 20.51 and thanks to the lights and texture we have achieved the result is awesome. Isn't it?

    This! This is why I love indie and small studio games. This is why I work on my own project. It's unique, it's refreshing - very cool!

    Looks great! But maybe a slight bit of Edge Detect would spice it up a bit?

    Mm...Sincerely we don't know about Edge Detect existence until your comment XD By the way, we don't think that this "technique" helps us to create an aesthetic as we searching for our game, but it's a great advice :).

    It's an Image Effect :) You have to import the "Effects" pack (Assets > Import Package > Effects) for it, though. Give it a try and if it doesn't suit your game you can simply remove it again.
