    Hello all,

I'm 99% sure this has been answered indirectly or otherwise via this very forum, but please be patient with me because there's *so much* information that it's easy to get a little overwhelmed and difficult to make sense of it all and choose the right path when you're just starting out. (There are even a few posts on this page that I think implicitly touch on this topic.)

Disclaimer aside, my goal: to keep a very simple game state (some serialized file with one object) on one of our servers so that Player A can open the game, make his move, and Player B is updated when they log on/run the game (if they're not already). Pretty basic stuff, except for the nonsense about not using PlayerPrefs.

I watched the super informative live-stream video on persistent data, here on the site, but of course it doesn't apply to web player games for obvious reasons. And I guess setting up a Master Server only handles game lists and such...? I don't expect anyone to give me a play-by-play covering the minutiae of it all, but I was hoping for an encouraging gesture towards the right direction and a nugget of wisdom or two from one of you handsome devils before I started off down the wrong road.

    A thousand thanks in advance.

For anyone googling this, I think the WWW class is the ticket, once you have a server set up. Will update when I get it worked out.
