I've searched this subject, or rather the lack of Unity Ads in Web layer and I can see that the whole ads package is aimed at mobile I'd like to ask if there is any way in which I could use Unity Ads within my WebGl game. It's a bit of an experiment but my forthcoming game has a section built around a spoof TV news broadcast and switching form a news item to an actual commercial break would be seamless and very natural. Or I'd hope it would be, which is why I'd like to give it a go.Any advice on how to do this, or any potential risks would be appreciated, if Unity themselves have something like this in mind then I'd be happy to volunteer the game as a test subject.
I already have the ads working in an android tablet build and it works superbly well, and although I can see how it suits mobile better I'd like to put forward the case for Unity Ads in desktop/web builds if integrated thoughtfully. Is this something that anyone else is looking into?

Demo is a few days from finish, will update when ready. Any links to your monetisation/sponsoring site?

We are working on our ad system, which is in progress also, its powered by www.id.net website
However, the sponsoring offer which we have already active, is from Y8.com

Write me if you want, so I could check your developing skills.

p.s. my reply was deleted, as it was "off-topic" according to the moderators.

Unity Ads only supports iOS and Android at the moment, with advertising support for the iTunes App Store and Google Play Store. There are no plans to support web based ads in the near future.

    No change, sorry.

The way things are going, Unity Ads will support only iOS and Android for the foreseeable future.

Hi Fritz, is that because Unity doesn't have a good technical solution?

Anybody else have a good 3rd party solution for Win/OSX and WebGL?

In this case, it's about market size. The WebGL advertiser market is simply too small to support an ads service.

It is small because we don't have the platform to use within Unity.

Exactly. I won't be bothering with the WebGL build now, as I can't monetize it.

I believe it's more about fraud. Web based ads (like Google Adsense) are full of fraud and take a lot of effort to keep fraud in check.

Pretty interested in if Unity will work with Facebook on this since webGL is good for facebook and they now have Facebook gameroom which uses pc builds, it would be nice to have a solution that is better than what is currently out there for those two platforms.

Will you be able to monetize through Facebook? How?

Right now, I stop using WebGL because there is no way to make money. We can't survive offering a web version of our games without revenue.

That's really the point. It would be nice to have video ads on Facebook. I know there are some ad services I've seen in other games, but they are a pain to use and trying some of them out they didn't always work right, taking you to survey sites and not awarding coins or whatever you're suppose to get.

We still offer our shop to purchase coins and if nothing else, it's advertisement. It takes little effort to offer the facebook version of our game, but I know we still tend to have issues with random errors, the biggest being the out of memory error that some will get. Facebook offers free hosting for games under a certain size and depending on your game requirements, you can find a free backend service to store data. So honestly, the web version doesn't cost us hardly anything and we do sell some coins through the shop every so often.

Hello @gulzaib . Unity Ads does not currently support the Web platforms (e.g. WebPlayer, WebGL) but we are always exploring the option of adding new platforms and features.

I suppose I'll lend a voice here as well and simply state that UnityAds for WebGL/WebPlayer would be quite stellar - to say the least.

I've just spent the last year making a WebGL Facebook game, nearing completion, and I left the adverts till last, assuming it was all quite easy - and now I've just read this. I'm pretty much devastated. What are my options for getting money from adverts via facebook and a webGL game?
