Adding URL link on touch to object

Hi Unity Brains

I have a fairly straight forward AR app - a stack of textured plane separate toward the camera in z-space.
What I now want to do is to be able to tap on one of the planes and have it redirect me to a URL. I have searched the interwebs and come across nothing as yet that actually covers this. Some stuff about using UI elements to link to URLs or tapping on objects to make them animate or play sounds, but nothing which shows how to tap on an object and be linked to a URL

Is it even possible
