Is there a way to add custom buttons to the scene view control bar? I would like to so I can add custom buttons to change the view mode to say top-down, or rotate to left or right, without using the x y z thing in the corner of the scene view. Thanks!

Are you all looking for something like what ProBuilder does here?

If so, the source is right in the ProBuilder package.

This is useful, but no. Were talking about the bar above it that houses the Gizmos, sound, lighting, 2d, render mode, etc buttons.
