Add text to speech api

Since feedback is closed right now I am writing this in forum. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/do...s?redirectedfrom=MSDN&view=netframework-4.7.2 - System.Speech.Synthesis - is unavailable in Unity. What is the reason behind this? Could Unity team add this api in next updates?

I am using Unity 2018.3.0f2 right now.

 

Unity uses Mono, not the .Net Framework. Mono has not implemented System.Speech.Synthesis the last I checked. You'll need to use a different library to implement this functionality.

You could look at the Asset Store too, seems to be various text to speech plugins available including one that uses the Google Text-To-Speech system.
