Feedback Add Cut, Copy, Paste support to Project view

It's a very basic, and very useful feature. I would like to see Cut, Copy, and Paste support added to the Assets.

 

you can create script that use reflection to make this functionality, as i do for my project))

 

Unity: This is the most basic feature in the history of operating systems! And you still don't have it in 2019!

 

Soon, i'll upload such asset to asset store, will you buy it?

 

In that video, it looks like cut should be called copy. Cut is supposed to delete the items.

 

That's how cut usually works on text but not on files.

 

Which OS are you referencing? On Mac, you can only copy/paste files. No cut for files.

Hooray my asset "Cut Paste tool" have been approved!

 

You can cut files just fine on Mac. Cmd+C Cmd+Option+V

 

Technically that is just moving the files.

 

This might be a bug. Cut and paste works if you manually use the Edit menu options but fails to do anything on Windows if you use the keyboard shortcuts.

Gonna submit a report and see what QA say

I'm gonna leave it here that Unity 2021.2.X (released ~Jan 2022) finally add this as native feature.
