This has been brought up before some time back...

The Unity Hub does not require a Windows systray icon for any kind of essential updates/notifications, so don't force one on users. No, I don't want to manually right-click-Quit on the icon. No, I don't want to hide it in the OS so that it still lives on in the "arrow drawer". I want a settings option for it to not be there at all and for Hub to exit completely when I click the X in its window. The current behavior is fine as a default - I'm sure many Unity devs use the systray icon constantly - but please be respectful to users who want to keep their tray clean and provide an option to disable it. Forcing yourself into a systray icon is what bad programs do.
