    (This is not a game, but Camera effect I made using Unity).

    Weird, I put it to .99 cents.

    Does it include tax and stuff?

    So I should go lower than .99 to get it at .99 at total in the end?

    That's why everyone expects hand outs lol.
    Too many people made free things now it's all people expect.

    I guess I could figure out how to do the ad stuff and make it free.
    I just hate ads lol.

    Is it really that profitable using ads?

    ppl expect a lot more to be free...

    tbh, it just feels like youre taking the piss charging for this..

    Yeah I understand.

    I guess I could just make it free, I mean it's nothing super special lol.
    Just wasn't sure how the market worked for everything, I've seen the stupidest stuff sell like crazy and should have been free lol.

    But yeah, I'll go ahead and switch it on over for free.
    (Glad we had a civilized discussion on it) and not fighting LOL.

    hey, if you can sell copies, sweet do it. lol (ill be pissed :p).

    im no expert on the mobile market, dont do it just because I think its not worth paying for. Im sure there are plenty of ppl that would pay for stuff like this (which would make no sense to me!).

    Naw I'll leave it free, I made it by mistake so it's all good LOL.

    Oh I understand, but you just made me think, because I really didn't even mean to make it, it just happened lol.
    So no harm done, it took me like 4 hours to make it, I was trying to go for something else and got stuck and just made the best of the situation and you see what I made lol.

    You should have left it paid. But good luck giving it away for penny ads! Lol I agree with you it is stupid people "expect it for free". Yet people don't give it away truly free then users gripe about too many ads remove the ads. And developers actually listen to kids out there telling them how to run their business. Lol

    I HATE the freemium model.

    but im not surprised it exists when you see how much s*** get released.

    I decided not to put any ads or anything, I just plainly put it on there, it wasn't something I meant to really create, so the least I could do is once give something away completely free.

    But I won't do that again lol.

    I'll make sure something is moreso worth charging for next time.

    Tell me about it, it's ruined everything that gives people who really care about making a good game loose their dignity and sell their self short.

    I wouldn't mind if mobile games cost 10-15 dollars.
    I mean if it's a good game that really got put together neatly.
    Sluggish crap can not be accepted into the stores.

    Google and Apple need to go clean up their stores and rid of all the junk so we can all start over fresh.
    And gain our self-respect back.

    I tell you what man, selling for free maybe a few adds, (which need I say I HATE ADS)
    is extremely depressing. Like I sometimes wonder why I do what I do if the world thinks
    hand outs are how it is *SUPPOSED* to be.

    But whom knows, maybe one day a few of us developers can start a new Store app for mobile devices
    and only allow real games to be put onto it, not sluggish junk.
    I'd do it now, but I'm not so great with PHP to make it work lol.

    I put my christmas game out on web for free. Just as a gift in spirit of Christmas and gets some exposure for me. Of course Kongregate makes people watch an ad before playing. Lol

    yep, I had to put ad's in, so there was at least some potential to make money.

    After serving 17000+ ad's (which isnt huge, but quite a few at the same time), ive made a whopping $9! WOO! Of course they dont payout till you hit $100. oh dear.

    Depends how you wanna measure success. Im getting plenty of downloads, and have over 1 million games of hardkour played, so Im happy with that... if 1 million plays = 1 million dollars I would be happier of course. ha

    But wow 9 dollars for 17,000+ ads, and can't get money till 100. That's crazy!

    Dang over 1 million games played, that's great! That's definitely a keyturning event, i'd be so happy if I had a game played that many times.) But like you said, would be nice if 1 player = 1 dollars, 1,000,000 plays = 1 million dollars. LOL.

    in comparison, ive served about 1000 ad's on IOS and made $4, so obviously the ad's are more profitable there.

    cracking that ios market though. ug! what a b-arch

    I had a thought on how to make money from your app (because lets be honest, it aint gonna be ad's)

    it only works for 1 min, unless you purchase IAP to unlock time.

    Well, I appreciate the idea, but sense I put it on free, it's permanent lol.

    nah, unlock it via IAP.

    its easy enough to change. I keep doing little tweaks to HK in the hope that it turns to cash money. The next update is probably gonna bring the free level count down to about 30 (currently 85ish)

    says it supports IAP, so yeah dont see why not.

    If you want a free alternative, look up OpenIAB

    sounds like you havnt done it before, so perfect project to learn

    Hey buddy, I'll try as soon as I can :).
    I'm on the pro trial version right now,
    but plans on how much longer the trial is
    as it could be shut off tomorrow for all I know
    (Don't remember when I got it LOL).

    But I'll see what I can do buddy, I have so many projects I'm working
    on currently. So I'll get to it when I can.

    Just my 2 cents - maybe add a little monitization design theory into it and make it timed. Say for 30 minutes it's free and if your users like it they can pay a small fee for it. Best of both worlds. It's like a demo with the option to pay to continue using it. Doesn't sound unreasonable and gives everybody the option to try before they buy.
