AAA First Person Arm Pack

    An ultra high quality arm pack perfect for AAA level games at an indie price point.

    The arm pack comes with:
    • Male Arms
    • Female Arms (With optional nail polish colors)
    • Military Male Arms (with fatigues and finger-less gloves)
    Each set of arms features 5 stunning 4k PBR textures and an extra LOD (50%).

    Every set of arms has its own 70 bone skeletal rig, is Mecanim compatible, and has the following pre-built animations.
    • Idle
    • Punch
    • Jump
    • Sprint
    • Push Door
    It's a "handy" pack coming soon to the Unity Store! ... *listens to crickets chirping*

    Hey @gameDevi thanks so much for the compliment! We can wholeheartedly say that these were modeled by hand (see what I did there :)) by the incredibly talented folks at Ironbelly. Our crew definitely has an abundance of mad skills.

    For the female hands, some comparisons of subdermals and a good view of what it looks like similar to the male hand above. Now lets see if we can get it to shake! :D

    The First Person arms pack also includes a set of military male arms, with two different patterns on the cammo sleeves. This is a low poly texture to show the options we're working on:

    Just realized we don't have a good closeup of the forest camo. We're really close to completing this now :) We've submitted to the asset store and hopefully will have it live soon, pending any changes we need to make. I'll try to show some animations that come with the arms soon.

    Will it be easy to replace the hands that come with the weapons with these ones. And transfer all the weapon animations using the original hands to these "ultra" quality ones?

    Hey @giraffe1 Short Answer: ABSOLUTELY! The first person arms included in the weapons packs are created to be completely interchangeable with the arms in this upcoming 1P arms packs (and vice versa) . All of the arms use the same rig and the same animations so yes, it will be easy to switch them out if you want to!

    Here we have the Female Arm Animations, as seen in Sketchfab. Sketchfab's anim system is still in beta, and it downsamples the quality a bit, but you should get a pretty good idea of how it will look from any angle you want!

    And now we have the first person male arms done for Sketchfab as well. Same note as above, the texture quality is downsampled a bit, but it should give you a good idea of what to expect!

    We'll be updating this pack very soon with new "no nail polish" female hands and skin tone textures (IE: We're not all white people!). This is a free update, stay tuned for more info and some screenshots!

    By popular request we're working on a "First person hand" pack for VR uses (and other situations where you dont want the arms). Coming soon! :)

    It's been a while, but we're happy to share that the FP Arms are finally getting submitted this week! We've posted a bunch of WIP shots already, but here's a look at the female arms. We've reworked the UV's on our hands to alloy custom nail patterns which look pretty awesome!

    Top quality content - same as always. Great textures and models.
    Is the bone count listed in the first post for an entire humanoid skeleton or are the bones (70 bone skeletal rig) exclusive to the arms/hands only?

    We're pulling the trigger on these today- better yet, you'll be able to use these FP arms to pull the trigger in your FPS! Look for these FP Arms soon on an Asset Store near you :)

    With three texture variants, male and female fingerless glove options and 5 animations included, this pack has you covered!

    We thought we'd be ready to go last month, but then in QA we found some ways to improve them even more...but we are happy to report that the FP arms pack has been officially submitted to Unity and should be up on the Asset store in a few weeks!

    Hello guys, sent an e-mail to the dev, but just reaching out here if anyone already figured out, how can i rig the to use mecanim animations? I see on the Rig, that it is legacy, when i select humanoid, it doesn't let me configure the bones. Could anyone help me on this?

    Hey @ironbellystudios, i'm reffering to your question:

    and the answer:

    Can you explain the steps needed to make the arms working with mecanim? Your amazing animator seems to know them.

    What i did so far:
    • Set rig to Humanoid
    • Fix bone assignment
    Result:
    • Arms are animated but somehow rotated wrong. I can attach a pic later.
    If an asset is advertised to be mecanim ready i excpect to have it ready and not to fiddle around with it... so maybe you can provide a real mecanim ready version in the asset package?

    The rig should be set to generic not humanoid.

    Hi Daschatten,
    Thanks for purchasing one of our packs!
    The issue you might be having could be one of two things or maybe both. It seems that the Bind pose of our rig might be different then yours. If this is indeed the issue you can fix it by choosing to force a Tpose on both rigs to make sure they have both matching orientation when you apply the humanoid set up. You can find this option at the bottom left of the humanoid set up window located in the screenshot below.

    Another thing that might be causing weird issues is you need to make sure the animation assets are also set to humanoid, and have them set to "create from another avatar" and then choose the rig file.

    The rig file although should be set to "create from this rig" when setting up humanoid.

    This SHOULD fix your issues, if not let me know and ill see what else I can do.

    We're just wrapping up the final touches on a NEW FP Civilian Arms pack for the Asset store. Just like our current arm pack on the market, it includes animations and sleeve/glove texture options. Here's a look at the tracksuit and flannel sleeve textures. Let us know what you think!

    I'm trying to use this arm pack with the recommended Kubold animations, but they don't seem to match up. I've spent the morning looking at this, and I'm stumped. It MOSTLY works - I suspect this might be due to an extra pair of 'dangling' twist bones in the arm pack, and the fact it doesn't come in a valid T-Pose for some reason - I've hit 'Enforce T-Pose', otherwise it's completely broken.

    Help!
