    Hello everyone :)

    My name is Alice and I'm the new Community Manager here in Unity's SF office. It's going to be super fun getting acquainted with you all~!

    For a little background on me, I started in the industry as a games journalist (don't hold it against me!) and moved over to working with development teams after that, so I've done a little bit of a lot of things. Games are a huge passion of mine -- like 80% of my life. That remaining 20% is filled with stuff like food, cats, and useless trivia. Mostly cats, probably :)

    Welcome, the only thing I can ask is, please acknowledge we exist sometimes, it's nice to have actual Unity people get involved with us little guys :)... That's one thing that sorta gets me, Unity Employees will come and introduce their selves and you never hear from them again unless you personally get a private message, and sometimes that don't even work.

    I understand you're gonna be busy and all so of course you can't be addicted to forums like us lol.

    But again: Welcome, and I hope you enjoy our company and get lots of laughs are @hippocoder locking 10,000 threads a day lol.

    Hi Alice!!!

    I spend a lot of time with cats too...and kids, but the cats currently outnumber the kids. Started with two, and then one found us, then two found us camping..and now I fall over 5 cats every day. :)

    Congrats on your new job and glad to have you here.

    Yikes! I have no intention of insulting anyone! And I'm sorry if this was seen that way... it was meant to be an internet cat joke, given that alice mentioned cats in the introduction :(. My bad wit always gets me in trouble. Time to get rid of it for good; and just keep helping people with their problems the best I can while I'm here.

    ....I've also got bad sarcasm. Some say I'm too literal sometimes (it's true). And I don't have a cat, instead, I've got a friendly white husky :D! So of course, I'm a bit out of date on the cat jokes :/. I tried!

    Cat jokes, hippo jokes. Most of the time mods let them slide. Just make sure from time to time you post something actually relevant and useful for other Unity devs, and the mods will keep you on board with the occasional warning if you go too far.

    Speaking of useful posts I should probably log back in to the scripting forum for a bit...

    Don't worry, Aenigmaticus -- I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt :)

    Besides, whenever someone makes a comment about cats (and cat people) I just assume they're a dirty, dirty dog lover and can be happily ignored. (To be clear, I am kidding: I love dogs too, but cats, man, CATS! <3)

    Teila -- I wish I had a bigger place so I could get more cats!!! But maybe it's for the best, as my two are enough of a handful as it is :p I can't imagine what it'd be like with kids thrown in the mix.

    Heh..Try refereeing this pair or attending to their want for affections and attention and getting any development of note accomplished. The Molukkan Cockatoo Cody is a rescue I have had a few years and the 8 week old puppy Popcorn is a 3/4 Great Pyrenees, 1/8th Saint Bernard and 1/8th Anatolian Shepherd. The cockatoo won this round. They have established safe spaces so the bird wont sneak up and bite him on the arse when he is laying on his blanket and no bugging the bird in her cage..That's cheating.. Also no starting up when either or both are getting petted.

    Playing Chase

    I need a cat but they are in short supply up here (N Ga Mtns) as they are working animals to keep the rats and mice out of the house so nobody has any kittens up for grabs unlike the city where they are a dime a dozen weekly so to speak.
