    My question is this:
Question to be posted on 1-22-2023.png
Will the date matter at all? It says "The saved project (before 5.0) does not match the launched editor(2019.2.0f1).".

    (???)

It has nothing to do with the date. If you read the message again it is clearly telling you that you created the project in Unity v5, and are now trying to open it in Unity v2019.2.0f1, which is a newer version.
Does it matter? Not sure. You may find that packages you had to install to the project will no longer work as they need to be updated, or they may no longer work at all in the newer version.

Why not just stay on v5 until you have finished the course? Or just back up the project and then open it in v2019 and see if you get any problems.

It's not really anything that the community is going to be able to tell you to do one way or the other - it is entirely up to you if you want to swap versions midway through a project, just be aware that you could run into problems and then you'll have to fix those as you go.

You can also see this message if the project does not have a file specifying the editor version. That should not happen, though, unless you've been randomly deleting files :p

"Well thank you for your time and I'll quit posting now." is what the message used to say, until the fact hit me that I'm just lost. Where should I go?
