This topic is literally to tell the Linux team that we back you completely! And that we're not your average whiny needy users that demand, but that we're here to support instead. Keep doing an awesome job!
Absolutely. I was just thinking the poor devs would be confronted by a wall of complaining and very little positive comments. Keep it up! Porting something as big as Unity is a massive undertaking and I think it's amazing something usable has been created. I can assure you that a lot of developers are very happy that this exists.
Na'Tosha, Levi and the rest of the team... you guys are doing a great job! It's very exciting to be using Unity under Linux!
Patiently waiting in the dark corners of the forum. Patiently.. You have done great work already, i believe most troublesome part is getting the port working even with smallest performance. And you guys/gals already did it
A big thumbs up from down under! I'm in the process of making the switch from Windows to Linux and this port is making the switch so much easier! Cheers guys!
Thank you guys infinitesimally! Not only was I finally able to fully say goodbye to Windows once and for all, but my current game is coming along very nicely here on Kubuntu 15.04, creating test releases for Android, even debugging the Android from monodevelop, AWESOME job on how far it's come thus far! Can't wait for further releases
Keep up the good work !!! I know your team always trying their best on fighting the problem on Unity Ubuntu and thanks too !
Hello unity for linux devs, You're doing a great job!. We (students form the gamedev study) finally can do all our work on linux! Thank you so much, and keep up the good work!. - Team Kiwibitstec
Just another +1 ... huge thanks for the effort in providing a Linux version... just learning Unity and so glad I don't have to install Windows to do it!
Thanks Unity team for the current Linux editor build! Its been running great so far on my Ubuntu 14.04 desktop. I'm hoping for an updated build soon though. I've kept my mac laptop on the older version for easy switching between it and my Linux desktop.
Thank you, I was so happy to see a Linux build even in experimental state. Almost no reason to boot into windows anymore.
Well... except for if you have a steam library and a half and even then, Linux ports for that are growing! I am yet to test unity for Linux myself, but either way, great work!
Same here, just recently made the jump (attempt #5?) to Linux and this time I think I can well and truly stick with it. Only reason I've booted into Windows lately is to uninstall stuff to make more room for Linux apps!
Came here to say that having a 5.2 release is awesome, thanks for the hard work to everyone involved!
I may be jumping to Linux, but for now, I'm happy with my new windows 10 install... Either way though, may as well make a USB stick or secondary partition for that.
It's all partitioned up, I just wanted to give Linux bigger partitions I did boot into Windows again earlier, this time to download the DooM games I bought on Steam a while ago, so I could nick the WAD files to play on Linux
