A lot of users are missing from Unity Analytics

    There is a big difference between the new users metric reported by Unity Analytics when comparing the numbers with iTunes Connect and Game Analytics.

    Unity Analytics, 98 new iOS users on 12/11



    Game Analytics, 402 new iOS users on 12/11



    iTunes Connect, 405 downloads

    I have similar discrepancies with other days and the android platform ; less users reported by Unity Analytics than other reporting sources. Could I be using Unity Analytics wrong ?

    Typically, with a discrepancy where Unity Analytics is undercounting users, the most common cause is releasing a build with Analytics disabled.

    You can use a network traffic analyzer, such as Charles proxy to determine if your app is sending Analytics events:

    Has this discrepancy been consistent since you launched your app, or is there a particular time period when it began?

    I need more data to get a better sense of this problem. Would you be able to open a support ticket, and include your Project ID:

    It would also be helpful if you provided the following data:
    * Number of New Users per day for the last seven days in both iTunes and Game Analytics.
    * Number of Daily Active Users per day for the last seven days in both iTunes and Game Analytics.
