    Hey fellow programmers,

I am trying to make a game that will teach the player about the basics of C++ programming. I just finished my first very early prototype and I would really love if you would try it and give me some feedback. I think it could be awesome with a game teaching programming so that more people might get interested in the beauty of programming. My goal is to make this to a full game and of course it will be free for everyone to use.

In general I am interested in making the process in to programming much easier. This will probably result in a webpage with the game and a lot of informations
about how and what you need to start.

I hope you will help me in the making of a new way to introduce programming for beginners.

    Thanks in advance

    Jan :)

Add screenshots. Played the game, it's actually pretty cool, liked it quite a bit.

This sounds like an interesting idea. I believe there was a game similar to this a while back called "Programming Hero" or something like that also made with unity.

I tried to play the game, but your link seems broken. Is it down? Not working for me.

No I haven't had the time to finish it.

I played this for a while, it's pretty cool. It's something I haven't seen very much before, and I enjoyed playing it. Before playing, I didn't know any C++, but afterwards I do, if my memory's good enough :p
You may want to add screenshots, but I can't think of any flaws in the game itself, just keep at it :)

    Tim the Robot?
A game based on "Karel the Robot" - the introduction to Programming Methodology? ;)

There's a free course from Stanford university on that. And I might add: one of the best introductions I have ever seen on the subject.
Keep in mind: I am not a programmer, though.

The graphics will certainly need an update. I think this is what are referred to as "programmer graphics" :) ! As for "Karel the Robot" I did not it existed so that is funny with the name :) But I looked at Karel the Robot (a little bit) and I get the impression that you use build in functions but what I think is different in my game is that it actually teaches the basic of programming - variables for now [loops, functions etc later on]. Then when you have learned it you could go play this games that just make you use the build in functions so you get the idea of making a program or whatever! :)
