    Hey guys. I've switched from Smoothmoves to using Unity's new sprite renderer system, and I must say this is the single most frustrating experience ever. The new smell has wore off and the bugs are driving me crazy!

    So the two major ones that have me stumped at the moment are;

    - how on earth do you guys copy/paste various poses from other animations into one animation?

    example: let's say I have a run, to jump animation. Obviously I need it to start in the run pose, and finish in the jump pose. Both those poses are from separate animations. I'm finding I can bring 1 over just fine but the moment I copy paste the second pose into the timeline, it completely blows over the first pose I copied over, so now I have that pose on both key frames.

    - I've renamed an animation clip, and now the animation window no longer "sees" this clip so I can no longer preview it.

    Yup. I renamed an animation clip in the project window to something a bit more work flow friendly, and it now has disappeared in the animation selection/state menu so I can no longer preview it! And I have been struggling to find a way to make that window see that animation again!

    Ok I found a work around with regards to the animation clip disappearing from the animation window.

    I had to;

    - rename the animation clip to something temp "Idle_01Temp"
    - create a new clip in the animation window, naming it what I want "Idle_01"
    - go into windows explorer folder and delete the new "Idle_01.anim" file.
    - rename "Idle_01Temp.anim" to "Idle_01.anim"

    Now it shows up fine in the drop down. This most likely has something to do with the .meta files associated with the .anim files.

    First issue still stumped me, however.

    Judging by the lack of responses to this (being my 3 rd post) regarding using/animating Unity's 2d puppet set up...I'm the only schmuck using this?

    I use after effects to animate puppets...it works for me...you can set all your pivot points and parent parts to root part

    What about animating texture swaps? Or anything other sprite functionality? AND THANK YOU FOR THE RESPONSE!
