    Introduction
    Over the last 4 years my wife and me have been working on a really big project called Requia Online. It is an oldschool online TCG/RPG/MMO with real-time combat for iOS, Android and Windows - made in Austria . It is set in a fantasy world based on the german novel series "Requia" written by my wife.





    The game has already passed beta stage and has been released on the german market (Prelude) successfully. I am now doing a full relaunch on 21/09/21 with new features and a full english + german client for the international release called Interlude .

    It is a mix of TCG and RPG, has multi-device support, was made only by me and my helping wife. It has a lot of unique features, which set it apart from the usual casual games on the market.

    Features
    Action-oriented real time combat system
    Create a deck from over 270 ability cards like attacks, magic attacks, buffs, debuffs, or fellows and fight against your enemies in intense real time battles.

    Combining trading card- and role playing game
    Enter the world of Requia, conquer the ancient planet Aurelis and solve countless of quests on your road to fame and glory. Choose the role of a fighter, paladin, magician or whatever you like. Only your equipment cards and your deck determines your role in the game.

    Dynamic spawn and resource system
    Beat rare monsters or collect ancient chests, before someone else does. Collect different resource cards online or offline in order to craft valuable equipment- and item cards.

    Comprehensive crafting system
    Craft your own equipment- and item cards in 6 different crafting classes.

    Secure trading system (face2face)
    Secured by a sophisticated barcode system, the direct trade of cards is only possible from mobile phone to mobile phone and enables the secure trade between friends, while making it hard for the 3rd party market, like china farmers, to succeed.

    Arena, duells and co-op
    Challenge your friends to exciting pvp duells or fight with them together against mighty creatures. Visit the arena and fight for glory and honor in the leagues.

    Auctionhouse
    Acquire more wealth and become the merchant of Aurelis. Use the secure auction house to safely trade with valuable equipment, item, resource and ability cards…

    Dungeons
    Take on the challenge of continuous battles through the new dungeons, alone or with a friend, for even more rare rewards.

    Enchanting
    Double cards – yes? Raise them to the next level by enchanting them together.

    Double cards – no? Craft your own copies and use them through enchanting.

    Knowledge
    Collect all kind of different cards (ability-, item-, equipment-, monster-, resource- and recipe cards) in your knowledge base in order to keep track. Higher knowledge with monsters provides you with additional advantages in battle.

    Automated event system
    Compete with other players and take part in the weekly events to get valuable crystals and coins as rewards.

    Countless achievements
    No matter what you do, the achievement system rewards you in all categories for your brave deeds. Not only will you get noble badges, but you’ll also be rewarded with ability cards and card packs.

    Basic technical Details
    • the game is solely using Unity UI (uGUI) with some particle effects and really shows off what uGUI is capable off. It is highly optimised for performance (also the over 600 cards are pre-rendered with lower and higher resolutions) - thus reducing batches/draw calls for very smooth gameplay even on not state of the art Android & iOS devices.
    • the game is 100% online and thus server authoritative, so I can easily keep track of any illegal client activities - this makes it easy to keep cheats away from the game and always have complete control of what is happening.
    • the network engine is written by me and also highly optimised for absolute minimalistic and fast network transfer so it can be played easily over mobile phones even with low bandwidth.
    • the servers are hosted in a cloud and the database is replicated geographically separated. Furthermore, backups are made every hour.
