    what is this?
    story: I install a brand new windows on this newly built machine, I move over the ssd from the old machine, this project is on one of these ssds

    Hi Laurent,

    After looking at your problem we are posing the hypothesis an external tools has renamed files in your cache folder by accident.

    The presence of the string IObitDel in all filenames is really strange. This is not coming from our package. Sadly, we have yet to implement integrity check on packages delivered by our system. This would have erased and everything and repopulate the cache for you.

    Can you erase the *cache* folder and restart the editor? The cache folder will be rebuilt.

    Sorry, my bad. Should have been more explicit!

    Unity store packages in a cache folder in your system. On macOS, this is located under the folder

    ~/Library/Unity/cache (or /Users/<your username>/Library/Unity/cache

    On Windows:

    /Users/<your username/AppData/LocalLow/Unity/cache

    If you remove this folder, it will be recreated when Unity restarts.

    Let me know if it fixes your issue.

    If this approach is expected to fix these kind of issues in the future, do you think it would be from advantage to add a "Clear Cache" button to the editor?
