For a game actually 60k+ poly model is a bit overkill, but 600k+ man i dont know. I dont have anything against your modeling skills, but I just think that 600k+ is not the polycount developers are searching for. They will be awesome for some visualisation/benchmarking, thats for sure.

Yeah with some optimizing they could be real time models for sure...they look great. They'd actually work fantastic as is for cutscene renders and animations in-game as well!

    Thanks guys for your comments.
Polys can be reduced, it is not really an issue if some gamers prod's are interested.

My last one freshly painted ;)

can we see some optimized models which have less than 5000 tris, so that can be considerable to unity games for better performance :)

Yes I would really like to see a few LOD's (2000 - 20000 poly range) from your model preferably with normal or parallax maps baked from the high poly model.

600K is only good for product visualization.
Most games don't go over 60K (triangles) + 2 or 3 LODs. AFAIK only Forza uses 100K+ models, but they only show up for the photomode.
These could however be used for texture-baking and then making lowpoly models :)

Honestly, these are some KICK ASS models... some games like PGR4, the car models are RIDICULOUS... i think they go over 100k... and truthfully, if u want a realised car, you need to put in a ton of detail... a 5000 tri Ferrari Italia is not going to look good at all, especially if you have great shaders and lighting...

I do agree with the post above.

Usually, there are almost no normal maps used for cars.
Most of the time its done with poly. (I am talking about recent games on Next Gen consoles and PC).

Arround 5000 tri, your models could look like Gran Turismo 4. (which still looks good IMO).
Gran Turismo 4 used Textures only.

But yeah, Yorzua should show us 40K-60K models.
A render of the car inside Unity would be even better.

I am not using Unity yet as i am still working on my portfolio but i read all your requests guys, and i found it very interesting.
    Here is a 60,000 polygons car model finished yesterday ( modelled in cinema 4d / rendered in c4d - vray 2.0 )

I keep over 50k polygons as i cant go for bad quality when rendering high res textures and materials ( all my models got optimized triangulation )

Hope you like it, will take a look in Unity ( beginner in 3D Game engines ) but Unity is definetly the future step ;)

If many people here are interested ( maybe to buy at a very low price ), i can work on lowpoly models.
Just tell me how many polys are required ( min/max ).

    Enjoy your day ☼

I do have a shader that I made for metals...maybe I could use it for cars... also keep in mind that Unity has that 65k vertex limit (which I think is the weirdest thing ever)

Very nice models! I believe that so long as the per-mesh count is below 65k you are good to go. I have imported car models with over 65k and not noticed any issues. So for example, a body mesh could be 60k, undertray 10k, exhaust 5k, interior 35k, etc; as far as I know at least. The level of detail you would want to stay below for high fidelity LODs would probably be closer to 200k for modern games, you just have to design with Unity's mesh limit in mind.

That all said, I am interested in an estimate for a initial group of 5 cars with a SLOD of ~150k, and then additional LODs at ~60k and 30k each. Feel free to PM me your rates and any negotiable terms or shoot me an e-mail address where we can continue the conversation! Thanks.

Note: you said e-mail is on your website in your first post, but didn't list your website anywhere that I could see.

Also, 5.000 tris would be the minimum for mobile phones as a HD model.

Thanks for your support and your interest,
you can find my email in the section "Contacts" in my website
    josue.o.gonzalez@gmail.com
send me your requests ( brand of the cars, models, colors wanted, etc ) by email please,
as per the price, i am the kind who prefer to see what you can offer for, rather than to fix a price myself.

Still some websites offers cars around 150/200$ for a much lower quality than my models,
and still i sell my work half cheaper than everywhere else..

p,s: Still trying to find how to post my models in the Unity Assets shop.... new to this

Take care and enjoy your day ☼

You would have to package them in Unity and then submit it to the Asset Store for review before it can be accepted and listed in the shop. If that's your general price point (very fair especially compared to the quality of cars that are that price on TurboSquid), you can expect an e-mail from me soon.

Dude, that's nice to show this 2 guys, but, isn't your thread name about cars ?

What all people requested is cars below 60k...
At the moment, we are not sure if you can do the task... Of course your high poly models looks excellent but as you may know Unity is made for Real Time and you really need to show us your skills for models around 60 k or less..

    That is really cool :)
    Some new questions :

    - How long does it take to you to make 1 car ?
    - How much money do you take for Around 50K model ?
    - Can you do Racing Tracks as well ?

While games can't make use of ultra high poly counts for game-play, they could still be used for cinematics and matte paintings

if you do love my camaro SS, it is because it is very high poly
never went under such low polys :

here is a 9k shelby cobra stripes edition freshly finished if interested available for few bucks :p

here is a 14k camaro SS 1977 freshly finished if interested available for few bucks :p

As requested round here : more low poly 10k cars

Will produce some more very very low poly cars if people really ask for it.

    Take care ☼

Prove it to us by showing us a picture of a new high poly car by you, because right now you sound like an pre-teen trying to troll someone so they are banned.
