Hi, I have this error with the update. I have Unity 2018.2.20 (on Unity 2018.3 I don´t have issues)

TypeLoadException: Could not load type of field 'HutongGames.PlayMakerEditor.FsmEditorrefabTypeLastUpdate' (41) due to: Could not resolve type with token 0100009f (from typeref, class/assembly UnityEditor.PrefabAssetType, UnityEditor, Version=0.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null) assembly:UnityEditor, Version=0.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null type:UnityEditor.PrefabAssetType membernull) signature:<none>

TypeLoadException: Could not load type 'HutongGames.PlayMakerEditor.FsmEditor' from assembly 'PlayMakerEditor, Version=1.6.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'.

 

Hi, there's an Asset Store bug where it will try to import the last downloaded version of an Asset even if it's not the correct download for the version of Unity you're currently running. In this case it's probably trying to import the 2018.3 version into 2018.2.

When switching Unity versions you have to manually re-download the Asset in the Asset Store. Or delete the asset store download cache: https://forum.unity.com/threads/asset-store-download-folder.83620/

We reported this bug to Unity a long time ago. They were able to repro, but said it won't be fixed until the Asset Store is re-worked at some point. Hopefully it's something Unity will fix soon!

I am a big fan of playmaker and I have my projects working very well. My question is when Playmaker 2 comes out, is it retrocompatible with the 1? Or is it just for new projects? Will the 1 continue to be updated?

 

Hi! PlayMaker 2 will be compatible with PM1, you should be able to keep working on your existing projects with it. PM1 will continue to be updated with bug fixes and compatibility fixes for new versions of Unity.

Hi,

I have a problem that seems to occur after updating to unity 2018. I have a couple Playmaker Scripts in a prefab. In the preview (editor) everything works fine. In the build the playmaker script is not loaded, in the output log I get several of theses errors
(Filename: Line: -1)

TypeLoadException: A type load exception has occurred.

Rethrow as TypeInitializationException: An exception was thrown by the type initializer for HutongGames.PlayMaker.Fsm

Any idea?
