[50% OFF SPRING SALE] StampIT! Collection - 4K heightmaps for stamping

Here's an example with the Meadows stamps. I use the awesome Meadows Environment from NatureManufacture for the vegetation. It comes with Biomes for Vegetation Studio Pro. Biomes themselves are created with my Vegetation Studio Pro Extensions. Just look at the description in the video for a full list of the assets I used.

The interesting thing about the meadows stamps is it looks rather easy like you'd just use the default particles brush of the terrain tools and could paint it, but that's not it. The meadows are rather flat and I had to go quite into the details with the stamp creation to get that meadow look combined with hills. Just notice the shapes in this scene. In case you try this yourself, I recommend making the hills even higher vertically so that the splatmap generator also generates some rocks. Or just modify the Meadow Environment Biome to get the texture directly, it's an artistic choice

I got very positive feedback on the Craters & Volcanos and people wanted more Volcanos. It was more reasonable to create a dedicated asset for Volcanos.

Important: There seems to be a bug with the Unity Terrain Tools where they load all the brushes including the heightmaps into memory. Which makes no sense, but that's the way it currently is, beyond anyone's control except Unity's.

So I suggest in case your memory is low to install the stamp assets that you really want to use instead of all at once.

Or use MicroVerse, it doesn't have that problem, it scales excellent in terms of performance & memory consumption. But keep in mind that after you installed a stamp asset you need to remove the Terrain Tools brush files. The problem is with the brush files of the Terrain Tools (as minimal as they are), not with the textures.

Apologies this is probably very noob and covered elsewhere, but I'm really not sure how to use your stamps. Just about every stamp has seams and I really don't know how to work around this.

 

Just ask away, that's what the community is here for The stamps are created in 4K. So you can apply them on an entire 4K terrain or you can apply a falloff to combine multiple stamps without hard seams. You can set the falloff either on the terrain brush itself or directly in the Unity terrain tools.

Some info from my experience using the whole StampIT! Collection in a Unity project:
In case you use it in combination with Microverse, I recommend deleting all the brushes after import, because:

a) for the usage with Microverse you don't need them
b) Unity Terrain will otherwise load all Heightmaps from the brushes into memory when you select the Terrain object which either takes very long or even crashes Unity because you run out of memory

The pack altogether works really well with Microverse. The only thing I would like to see added are geometric shapes like cubes, half-spheres, cylinders and pyramids .

What do you mean by that? Like the Organic shapes above which originate from meshes, but just primitives?
