5.5.0f1 (Release Candidate 1) is available

Greetings!

We have the first release candidate for 5.5.0 ready! Some notes:
- There are more known issues listed than before. This is because we have scraped deeper into our bug database in order to make the release notes more complete as we prepare to finalize the release.
- This is not the final release and we already have a second one baking to address some of the remaining issues, including the majority of the listed known issues.
