5.4.0f1 (Release Candidate 1) is available

Greetings Testers!

It's time to get the ball rolling towards release, so this is our starting point. Our internal tracking of critical bugs is low enough that we're satisfied we can start the process, but of course we don't know what we don't know! So, we do anticipate new bugs found, and we will work to address all the ones of critical nature as quickly as we can. Note that we do have a number of bugs fixes on the way in RC2 which is in preparation already, but please do submit bug reports on new found issues. Please report new bugs with their bug # to separate threads.
