I'm in the process of testing a new game for release, currently when testing on Nexus 7 building with 4.6.3p2 I have some uGUI text labels missing. I tried to debug this and came to conclusion it maybe a Unity issue. I then tried the game on Unity 5 and the issue was not present (but Unity 5 messes the game up and no good to me). Anyone know whats happening and if latest uGUI bug fixes have made it into 4.6.3?..

BUMP, tried on another KITKAT 4.4.4 device, same issue.
So its to do with the Android version and not hardware specific?

We made some changes to the handling of Android system fonts in 4.6.3p2. Are you using system fonts or are you deploying your own font assets?

    These shouldn't be affected.
I am just suspicious of the change I mentioned above because it was pushed with 4.6.3p2, is not in 5.0.0f4 and has different code paths for Android >= 5.0 and Android < 5.0.
A trivial project with own font asset works on my Nexus 7 (2012) running KitKat with Unity 4.6.3p2.

Thanks for the info, I'm waiting for the next Unity patch then I will test again. Its a strange one as at first thought it was a scaling issue. I updated the Nexus device to Android 5.0 and all was well, will keep you in the loop.

Just tried 4.6.3p4 patch and no difference.
Sad that the patch did not contain any Android fixes at all.
