    Hello there.

I'm a perfect novice in the art of animating character. I'm following a tutorial advicing to use "control objects" to be able to control different parts of my character easily.

But when exporting to Unity, I don't want to export those objects. My problem is, I will have many of those objects, and it will become awefull to select only my main mesh and its bones by hand before exporting. Is there a way to explicitely tell 3DS Max to not export my control objects?

To be clear, control objects can be dummy objects as well as primitive meshes. I need them to be selectable and movable, but don't want them to be exported.

You could use the layer manager and place your control objects in a separate layer. Then when it comes time to export, freeze the controller layer, select all objects in the default layer and "export selected."
