    FBX Multi Take is a very useful utility for adding multiple Takes to an FBX export file.

    Through developing our own render engine we came across the problem of not being able to have mulitple takes within one FBX file from 3DS Max / Maya, so we developed the solution, FBX Multi Take.

    You can use FBX Multi Take to divide your time line into different animation ranges e.g. Run 40-80, Jump 81 - 100 etc. These animation ranges are then processed via FBX Multi Take at export time. The result is an FBX file with multiple takes named e.g. Run, Jump etc. All Take data is stored within the max file so it's perfect for source control.

    NEW! 3ds Max 2016 and 2017 now supported!

    Supported FBX Versions:
    3DS Max: 2012.2, 2013.2, 2013.3., 2014.0, 2014.1, 2014.1.2, 2015.1
    Maya: 2013.3, 2014.1, 2015.1, 2016.1, 2017.0.1

    Compatible with 3DS Max 2010 -> 2017 32-bit 64-bit
    Compatible with Maya 2013 -> 2015

    Hi, there's a new version now with a fix for issues with Unity, you can also remove the default take now as well.

    The free script version doesn't allow you to remove the default "Take 001" animation where as FBX Multi Take does, it also stores the animation ranges within the max file so you don't have to keep entering them...that data stays within the .max file so if your animator has the plugin but your artist doesn't no data is lost between edits.

    I purchased this for MAX 2014 and setup the animation ranges as instructed but when I export the FBX I see nothing!!!
    I did exactly as asked in the instructions a few times and everytime I reload the exported FBX I only see Take001 even though I also ticked to remove it? Any ideas?

    Hi, what version of the Max FBX exporter are you using?, you can see the version number in the bottom left of the FBX export panel. e.g 2014.0.1, 2014.2.1

    Hi, does this exporter work with Maya LT?

    edit: Nevermind, the newest Maya LT Version has a Game Exporter tool which does this...

    Hello!

    I bought the latest version of 3dsmax fbx Multi take Exporter and installed it on 3ds Max 2014 and 3ds Max 2015 on different PCs with Windows Vista and Windows 8.

    The problem is that now takes are not exported on both computers. I used the previous version of 3dsmax fbx Multi take Exporter in 3ds max 2013 and it worked well.

    Please send me the correct version to install that will work properly ASAP.

    Max FBX exporter versions are 2014.0.1 and 2015.0

    Thanx in advance

    I am having the same issue. Bought it on TurboSquid for use with 3ds MAx 2014, my FBX plugin is 2014.0.1. On opening of the plugin I get an FBX version warning, and the export with multiple takes doesn't work.
    Is the TurboSquid version somehow not up to date?

    Follow Up: Super awesome support from PlasticAnt. The FBX plugin for Max 2014 has to be 2014.2.1.
    Changing to that version fixed the issue. Exporting now works as beautiful as it should!
