Hello guys, i have been facing this problem for a while,so I would like to ask you for a help!
    So im gonna get straight.
I have made character in 3ds max,i want that some of the elements (parts) of that character are separate (like head or leg.....)

So i ungroup parts from character and then i go and import the character in unity 3d editor,But the character prefab is messed up,i mean when i drag it into scene the character parts and the whole character is not visible!
There is some kind of problem with Skinned mesh renderer, because when character have all elements (parts) together it all works Fine.

Please smart people on the internet, help me out!

i had this problem with importing skinned characters that were in separate parts. Attach all the parts so its a single mesh. You dont need to weld the verts but just have a single mesh made up of separate parts.
