3d text Option missing!

    I was going to make a menu for my game and I go to add a 3d text and it's not there! It has not been there since I got Unity. I first had Unity on my other computer and I switched computers. So is there a way to get back the 3d text option! Some please help me...thanks.

    You may like to use the new GUI (in world space mode if you what a 3d space perspective)
    The 3D Text is very old and not the best option.

    If you want to use the old 3d text feature, then use the Component->Mesh->Text Mesh menu.

    I see the Text Mesh Button, but it won't let me select it :(
    I found a different way to add 3d text, so thank you so much for helping me out. :D

    UI is a 2d user interface solution. There is no 3d font system as part of it.

    NVM I upgraded to Unity 5 and the 3D text option is back. Thanks :)

    As stated above:

    ie, 3DText is also known as a TextMesh
